Doing a DJ mix in lockdown is special as it is. Let alone if you’re performing it live in a 1950-ies underground bank-vault built during the post-war reconstruction somewhere in Rotterdam… That and of course the fact that we celebrated our 200th Stookcast, called for a ‘special’ selection of tracks fitting the surroundings.
Dark and deep with just enough sweet spots and twists to keep your ears locked in. For me that meant the tribal-beats of Dorisburg, the techno of Donato Dozzy and Neel, the ambient of Refracted and the unique sounds of Burial in a rare battle with Massive Attack... To name just a few.
